Privacy Policy
Cadwell Tech is a two-person IT and EdTech studio. We care about privacy in practice, not just on paper, so this policy is written to actually be read. It explains what we collect, why, who else is involved, and what you can ask us to do. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it plainly.
What we collect
- When you book a session: your name, email address, and the scheduling details you enter, collected through Calendly. Payment is taken in advance through PayPal; PayPal processes the payment and shares only a confirmation and basic contact details with us. We never see or store your full card or bank numbers.
- When you email us (or use a
mailto:link on this site): your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message. Our email runs on Google (Gmail). - During a remote session: sessions run over Google Meet. We do not record sessions unless we ask you first and you agree. Anything we see on your screen stays confidential.
- Automatically, for security: our host, Cloudflare, keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to serve the site, block abuse, and protect against attacks. This is standard for any website and is used for security and reliability, not marketing.
- Fonts: our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them and Google may receive your IP address in the process.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- We do not run advertising networks, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
- We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site works without them.
How we use your information
We use what we collect to reply to your questions, schedule and run the session you booked, take payment for it, and keep a basic record for our own accounts and tax purposes. That is the whole list. We do not use it to build a marketing profile of you.
A simple rule we hold ourselves to: if we would not be comfortable explaining why we have a piece of your data, we should not be collecting it.
Who else is involved
We rely on a small set of reputable providers to run the business, and each has its own privacy policy worth a look: Calendly (scheduling), PayPal (payments), Google (email, Meet, and Fonts), and Cloudflare (hosting and security). We share information with them only as far as needed to provide the service you asked for.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records only as long as we need them for the service and for legal or tax reasons, then we remove them. Casual email enquiries are cleared out periodically. If you want your information removed sooner, just ask.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email cadwelltech@gmail.com and we will handle it promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have formal rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA; we are happy to honor those requests regardless of where you are.
Children
Our services and this site are aimed at adults, in particular parents, educators, and small teams. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we keep our own accounts locked down with strong, unique passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated, and we practice the same habits we teach.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be called out clearly rather than buried.
